Dart and Francis’ records give the following:
- Apr 1919 - initial request for estimates for oak fittings, riddels, no.4
angels, altar and rails.
- Dec 1919 - oak chapel altar - £25
- May 1920 - oak riddels - £40 exclusive of angels (“no.4 angels” £8 extra
each)
- Jun 1920 - gilding
- Dec 1922 - drawings returned of riddels for Skipworth (sic -
undoubtedly meant to be Skirwith.)
Note also that there is a parclose screen in oak all around the chapel which
to the observer bears the hallmarks of Fellowes Prynne’s work - but this has not
been verified. |
